What is the best starter kit to purchase for a coin collector looking to organize their collection?
I am looking for a starter kit for a birthday present for my boyfriend. He has a small collection with various coins, but wants to organize and start REALLY collecting. Can anyone give me some advice as to which collection kit would be most suitable for a collector like him?
I have found a few on ebay and amazon but I am unsure if I should purchase them.

You might consider visiting a local coin shop for suggestions. It really depends upon what your boyfriend is interested in, and what he might already have. The eBay kit is perhaps a good way to organize a collection. I would really recommend the “red book” (found in the last link), a small magnifier is a very handy item, and perhaps some type of storage supplies (like 2x2s, flips, plastic tubes, folders, etc.), and a good book on grading coins might be very helpful.
