Is this jacket over-the-top for occasional wear?
When me and my wife got married, I bought this coat:

I had it custom tailored and everything… But I don’t have any formal occasions to wear it to.
I’m an Insurance Agent, and tend to wear a between business casual and business attire. Me and the branch manager are actually the only ones who dress a step above business casual.
Back to the jacket. It’s just hanging in a bag in my closet, and I hate to just see it hanging there because I really want to wear it. However, I don’t want to look as though I’m wearing a tux on a daily base. Could I wear this now it’s winter time, or is it a big no-no on principal?
