Question by dianaleesloan: How do I cut a lock off my storage? I just locked all my keys inside including the one for the new lock.?
It is a regular lock. I can get to the part that goes through the holes in the storage latch. It is not a circle lock. I am a 53 year old woman so I need to know if I can use a hacksaw or is that useless?

Question by C M: Are books safe inside a temperature controlled storage unit?
My family is getting rid of their house and for awhile they will need a storage unit. I’m going to chip in so I can add a lot of my boxes. I have quite a few comics/graphic novels and books, so I guess my question is: If I get a temperature controlled storage unit, do those normally work pretty well? I just don’t want my thing to get all damp and nasty, so I figured I would ask someone on here that’s actually used one.

check the unit out beforehand. If it is on an upper floor, you won’t have to worry about water.

Try to get some desiccant packets to store with your comics. Check out a comic book store to see if they have archive bags in which to store your comics. You will want to protect them from oxygen as well as water. O2 is what turns books ‘brown.’

Your books should be ok for a couple of years

Climate controlled is better. Do you want your stuff exposed to the very hot weather we have in Austin.

if its a cube with equal length, width and height then, L x W x H = Volume.

hence Volume = (14inches)^3 = 2744 inch^3.
