Question by [Marine Wife]: Will Military OneSource help me move my stuff from storage to my new house?
My husband deployed. I went home for 3 out of 6 months of the deployment to see my family that I haven’t seen in a year. We put all of our stuff in storage because our lease was up. I’m heading back and I don’t have many people to help me move my things from storage to our new house. Will military onesource get some people to help?

Doubtful, your best bet would be to get in touch with your family readiness officer and they should be able to round up some people to help you.

I live in W PA also i would not recommend storing the piano or the antique wood in an unheated unit. If you cant find a controlled unit try asking friends and relatives if you can put some in their houses. With the wide temperature and humidity variences wooden items can warp and crack.

Ok well I own a house and I’m getting sick of roommates. I have a lot of spare room in my house. I was wondering if it’s legal to rent out part of your house or garage for storage, and if so how can that be done in a legal non troublesome way? I don’t want roommates anymore I just want to try to make a little extra money to help pay my mortgage. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thank you!

Don’t let the zoning board in on your plans. They may object to a home based business in a residential neighborhood and having a storage business in a residential neighborhood.

The fire Marshall is not going to like the fact that the fuel load in you house has skyrocketed, meaning it is going to burn with more vigor than expected.

The insurance dud is going to have a cow about the change in purpose for the dwelling.

The neighbors are not going to like the extra traffic and trucks that kind of business generates.

Question by Cassie: I need free storage ideas that I can make using stuff around the house?
I am in need of more storage in my house. I have cardboard boxes and probably pretty much everything most people would have around the house. I am in need of ideas how to make storage using items around the house because I do not have the money to go buy some. I would appreciate any ideas or websites that can help me with this problem. old furniture (t.v.’s can be gutted and used, you can make ‘slip’ covers for tables and hide things underneath…)

Are there restrictions, statutes, laws, that specify the building of small storage homes on ones property?
