Accessing Disk Management
There are a few different ways to access Disk Management. I’ll list three different methods so choose whichever is more convenient.
* Method 1 – Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools. Double click Computer Management and then click Disk Management in the left hand column.
* Method 2 – By default, Administrative Tools is not shown on the Start Menu but if you have modified the Start Menu (by right clicking the Start button and selecting Properties > Customize) so it is shown then just select Start > Administrative Tools > Computer Management and then click Disk Management in the left hand column.
* Method 3 – Click Start > Run and type diskmgmt.msc in the Open: line and click OK. The Disk Management snap-in will open.

Fat32 can only read up to 32GB. Therefore what you could do is create two fat32 partitions each being 30gb or one being 30 and the otehr being the remainder.
Why use fat32 Mac can read NTFS dont see what your trying to do.

How can I get my Maxtor personal storage drive to work with Mac OS 10.4?
Question by tukee25: How can I get my Maxtor personal storage drive to work with Mac OS 10.4?
I have a Maxtor Persontal Storage external drive connected to my Mac Mini with an Intel Core Duo. It see’s the drive but I am unable to use the drive, it’s in read only. If I try to use the Disk Utility for Mac OS, I am unable to format the drive because all of the options are grayed out. Is there any way of formatting the drive so my mac can read it? I had it connected to a PC but I’ve decided to go 100% mac but I cant get this drive to work.

Hello tukee25,
Have you been able to repair permissions using your Disk Utility? That might unlock everything all at once, so that you can, then, reformat the whole hard drive.
Best of luck to you.
