Question by monurse78: will my christmas cactus survive and bloom in my dark storage closet?
I know they require cool temps and long nights to get them to bloom, I don’t have many options in my apartment. I thought I could put it in my storage closet next to my apartment. Is this too cold? I live in Ohio
Thanks! Someone told me to put it in my closet starting Nov 1st, is this wrong? So i’m supposed to take it out during the day so it gets light?

Hey, it’s cold out there! No, I wouldn’t do that. Also you’d have to truck it out there in late afternoon and bring it back inside for sunlight before leaving for work/school. Maybe covering it with a box every evening and keeping it near a cool window will be enough.

I am remodeling my current home and can’t decide if I want a small computer room or convert into a large storage closet. What do you think you would prefer? Which would add the most value to my home?

I want to buy a Nissan Leaf but I live in a 2nd floor condo. I have a storage closet w/ electricity on the ground floor right in front of my parking spot.

Logistically it’s easy. Getting the permission from a nasi condo association will be the real problem.

Question by Hecate: What is the best site on line to get basic instructions on how to build an outdoor storage closet?
We have a large patio near the lake next to the house. There is a perfect nook for a 4 by 6 storage unit, perhaps with doors on the front. I am only a basic builder.

Question by pakatl: Any ideas how to use space for storage in front of bedroom closet window? Access to window not important.?
Master bedroom closet needs more storage. Could use either clothes rods or shelves. I have cubbies for shoes, I am planning on placing cubbies just below closet window. I want to make use of space in front of window, from top of cubbies to just below ceiling. Access to window not important. I have Closetmaid wire shelves and hanging rods. The cubbies are made of laminate wood. Anyone know how to span window without a major redo? I appreciate the help. Thank you.

Go to a hardware place and check out what they have to work with and get some ideas, or clean out the closet and give things to Good Will or some one who can use it.
