Short of actually putting them in storage and having her pay the actual fees, “reasonable fees” are dependent on the item.
I’ve charged tenants $ 5/day for larger items or $ 50/month. You may want to consider asking a real estate attorney for the “going rate”.
Good luck!

all you need is the key to the storage unit, ask your husband where that is. If that isnt an option I would assume that you could go to the place with a photo id showing that you are his wife with the same address. If you explain your situation they may just let you in.

Is it typical to store your car in the same storage space as your belongings?
Question by LookingForIdeas: Is it typical to store your car in the same storage space as your belongings?
I’ll need to store my belongings at a self-storage place for several months. I’ve never done this before. Can you rent one large space for your car plus all your things, or is this not safe (in terms of fire hazard)? Is it more typical to rent a separate room/garage (indoors) for your car and a separate room for your belongings?
yes, I agree. Many storage places simply don’t look big enough (from the outside) for vehicles and furniture/boxes to be in the same space. That’s why I wondered maybe you have to rent two rooms or go to a completely different kind of facility for your storing your car. I would preferably like to store my car inside and not outside in parking space.

It depends on the garage amenities. If you are storing it through winter some are heated. Also it is quite common for people to do this sort of thing. It saves money for one thing and storage space at your house. NOT UNCOMMON WHATSOEVER
