“Meet John Doe” Part 9
Hartford Courant columnist Colin mcenroe has suggested that Frank Capra’s 1941 classic “Meet John Doe” was the mccain/Palin campaign’s inspiration and blueprint for their “I’m with Joe the Plumber” election strategy. The intent of this gambit is to recast mccain as the candidate of the ‘Average Joe (six-pack).’ What do you think? www.courant.com www.imdb.com NOTE: “Meet John Doe” entered the Public Domain in 1969.
@Grifiki I don’t understand your question. Why did Obama win over McCain? Umm, because most Americans realize the GOP serves the rich and uses ignorance, fear, and hate to convince the rural poor that social non-issues (gays, guns, government) matter more than their own economic reality.
FlinPublic? “If you believe that about John McCain. Then how is it the Idiot Obama was Elected..”
“I know how they feel, I’ve been lonely and hungry for something practically all my life” -such a tender scene and soul’s look into the common man! Would that all people shared tender witness account of the human world in cafes and restaurants everywhere.
