Organize Closets

Hey everyone, I just purchased a 500 gallon tank for water storage and would like any ideas how I can go about getting it filled with a decent water supply as it will be used for drinking, cooking and bathing during the winter months when the well freezes up. Or should I just fill from the yard hose and invest in a purification system?
