Government Health Care Tea Party Rally
A group of young ladies in SE Michigan decided over lunch to organize a Tea Party rally, giving people an opportunity to express their feelings about proposed changes in health care. A week later, the result may have been more successful than they expected. Hundreds of citizens gathered outside Somerset Mall in Oakland County. Not a typical group of protesters. There was plenty of enthusiasm, but this WAS NOT an angry mob. It was a very impressive gathering of polite, articulate, well informed citizens. Unlike most other tea parties in the past few months, there was actually some local news coverage.
We are a bankrupt Nation & we must get back into solvency. We do that by putting the financial system threw a Glass-Steagall Bankruptzy. We eliminate the FED & adopt a National Credit system call for in our Constitution. We invest in infrastructure, agriculture & industry & create lots & lots of blue collar jobs. ‘Tea Party’ is a reference to the Boston Tea Party. It was a tax protest prior to the American revolution.

Are you aware of protocol within the insurance as it relates to who gets approved and who gets denied?
My reason for asking is based upon a remark you made about a ‘layer of government regulators’ that stand between you and service.
FYI – insurance companies have staff specifically equipped to deny you. How do you process this information when you praise private health care.
I am truly glad you defeated cancer. Your doctors/nurses should be rightfully applauded as heros. I am pleased that the insurance company took the high road and held their end of the deal up and covered your expenses.
Beautiful real life narrative, however there are numerous documented cases that fail to mirror your experience.
Lives are lost (or) ruined. Gainfully employed people with health insurance are flat out denied care during a health crisis. Many go bankrupt.
UHC denies no one.
I was diagnosed with cancer 8 years ago, and my life was saved by a team of great docs and nurses. I had zero problems with insurance. Tests and procedures were performed immediately, no questions asked.
Im thankful there was no layer of government regulators added to protect me!
When I grow up, I want to be a Healthcare Insurance Company, so that I can screw over as many innocent Americans as possible through denial of care and exorbitant premiums. I want to thank the bewildered bovines of the Tea Party movement for protecting my dream.

It is kind of amazing some “people” think health costs are like buying a car or any other commercial proposition (eg: all the insurance co-sponsored posts on Youtube by varying “people”). You can plan to buy a car or a house: it’s your own responsibility and your money allocation–but you can’t plan a medical affliction. Not the same. I simply note one anti-health plan person on Ytube had her two fave videos as a) a revolver shooting into a tank, and b) a clip of Milton F’man on “Greed”. True!!

The Nation is not the same thing as its gov. If the WHO had a rating for which statist education program (public ed.) produced the most deceived, collectivist indoctrinated, and self-loathing people, the US would get an A+. “Oh. Look at me, poor BrianTotse, living in the greatest nation on earth, surrounded by every resoursce known to man, but all I can do is curl up in the fetal position and rock in the corner. Get off you lazy ass and become the man G-d intended you to be. Stop wasting it.
There are other countries with far larger foreign aid programs than the U.S., yet they still rank higher in quality of care than we do.
What is your explanation for this? You may be satisfied with paying more and receiving shitty care, but the rest of us aren’t, and that is precisely why Obama is president, and precisely why this bill will pass.
I’m proud, not ashamed that we help the globe win. It’s what Americans do. It’s who we are. Our family sacrifices so our AFTER tax dollars and our professional and medical expertise can be used to help two developing nations. We are free to give and we do. As a nation, we are caring for and protecting the planet. There is no WHO report card for that. Ashamed?
Others score better on their WHO grade because we HELP them reach their goals. Each is graded by how well they reach their OWN goals. The US sets VERY high goals for itself. We help the globe get better grades and welcome their citizens to come here for help. They return home where their wellness is factored in to THEIR numbers-they get the better grade but our assist in that is not recorded. You must compare apples to apples. An A for an easy goal is not the same as a B for a hard one.
So THAT explains why we so often hear that millions of mexican illegals pour over Costa Rica’s borders to receive healthcare and social services, hundreds of thousands of people fly there from all over the globe to get the latest medical breakthroughs, surgeries and treatments they can’t get under their socialist plans, and why Drs. from every corner of the earth flock there to practice. Oh. Wait. That is what is true of the United States.
I bet you’ll continue laughing right up until the Universal Healthcare bill passes.
By the way, there’s really no reason to be funny. The fact that such a poor country like Costa Rica does better than we do is nothing to laugh about. It’s something to be ashamed about.

You can make all the excuses you like, the United States’ healthcare system still ranks #37 according to the World Health Organization, the authority on medicine and health around the world.
#1 is France, #36 is Costa Rica. That’s right, COSTA RICA has a more effective healthcare system than the United States.
That is a damn shame, and it sure as hell doesn’t need to be that way.

When your care system naturally weeds out people so only the young, strong and healthy get to be in the bulk of your counts, yeah, the numbers look better. Young, strong, healthy people don’t use as much medical care. Also, not every country counts Life Expectancy or Infant Mortality the same way. When you’re legally bound to treat millions of illegals, that can plump out your numbers just “a tad.”
Why doesn’t the healthcare plan provide for tort reform or expanded Health Savings Accounts? Where does personal responsibility figure into this reform?

Statists/Collectivists will forever remain very frustrated and deeply paranoid as long as Freedom Loving and Defending non-statists exercise their freedom to speak against and subvert their tryanny.
