DIY Shelves, Threadbanger
Decor It Yourself is moving to WEDNESDAYS! So this week you have an extra day to work on your DIY project! This week, upon a flurry of forum requests, we tackle DIY shelves. With a few design details & up-grades you can make your shelving look fantastic. And remember all of those remote controls you have laying around? Can you even find them when you need them? We have a viewer submission to shows us how to solve this problem for good.

That’s exactly what I was going to ask, haha
Meg you’re videos are awesome.
I was wondering if you had any ideas on a cool decorative way to organize the wall area infront of a desk to be able to clear up desk space. thanks<333

I liked this. Subscribed!
I like that idea of the old radio made into a book shelf. With the new digital TV conversion, I’ve heard about people taking their old box TV’s and making them into fish tanks. Just thought it was kinda interesting and it’s good knowing that’s less material going to the land fills.
where would one find vintage contact paper??? want!
I don’t mean to be a stickler… but don’t you need to screw into a stud to make sure the shelf doesn’t fall out?
shut up applepie1991 we all make mistakes
then SCREW it into the wall
*sniggers*
the level isn’t a stud finder. a level makes sure that your shelves are straight, so your stuff doesn’t slide off. a stud finder finds the studs in the wall so you don’t put your shelves into some soft jib which would fall apart with a big set of books on it. you don’t need a stud finder if you can find it by tapping the wall – the place where the stud is will sound less hollow. DISCLAIMER – I’m no builder, and you should just get a stud finder!
i love u meg

What would you guys recommend for walls of older buildings that are sensitive for adding holes into em? xD
